Photographer’s Note
I climed Mount Youtei in Hokkaido last year. I've already posted some shots from that day on TE earlier but here are some, I hope, better ones. This one was taken about half-way up.
Mount Youtei is sometimes called "Ezo Fuji". Ezo is the old word for Hokkaido and Fuji as in Mount Fuji. Youtei is smaller than Fuji-san but very similar in shape.
I'll be posting several more images from this trip over the coming days.
