Altered Snow pic, a photo from Hokkaido, Hokkaido

I have changed the original pic, by cropping the sides. I guess it looks neater and yet you still see the people astonished at the enormous dinosaurs.

This is the 55th Hokkaido Snow Festival this year and here is an art piece sculpted by the Japanese Self defence force.

Wow - I love those sculptures - real amazing artwork - The ligth/shadow perfect and the sky/clould great for the shot.

A very impressive sculture! The lighting is good in this shot as the shadows are just right. I've never seen anything like this before on this scale, it must have taken a long time to make. Well taken.

Just so you know... you're supposed to use the Re-Post option for this kind of shot. This goes against the Terms of Service (item 7). Anyway, I agree that the closer crop is more appealing...

Very nice shot. These snow sculptures are amazing. they seem so giant. They are also nicely carved and really seem very three dimensional and present and active. It's hard to get the lines to show up this well in snow for me so I think you did a very good job with this photo.
