Photographer’s Note
Hokkaido is a winter wonderland! Well, at least for us visiting it was. It may be different for the students at Hokkaido University though where the best way to get on time is by bicycle even when the campus is snow covered.
Hokkaido University was started in 1876 with Dr. William S. Clark, then the President of the Massachusetts Agricultural College in the United States of America who was invited to be the Vice President of the College.
Many subjects are taught here now, while the plants and fields on campus give strong connections to the past and present connections to agriculture.

except few details it's almost B&W, i think that all the elements composing this photo are interesting and at the right place, a common scene but a pleasing photography
BTW biking on the snow is dangerous but very fun ^^

Hi Dan,
A picture full of memory for me. I remember the walk I had ther'e during the Yuki Matsuri some years ago. Not that it was a spectacular park but after an electric walk in the avenue where took place the matsuri, it gave to me a quiet feeling. I can feel it again with your picture.
Thanks.
Olivier.
