Taken on Rebun Island in the extreme north of Japan. The most popular time to visit is in July/August when all the flowers are out but the place is packed with tourists.
This was taken in September when it was quiet and the views were untainted by humans. Enjoy.

Hi Phil. Interesting picture. One rarely thinks of Japan and empty countryside devoid of humans. I like the slope of the hillside down to the trees and then up to the mountains in the distance. I can imagine that the flowers in season must look spectacular. I find the picture a bit too dark. I hope you like what I did in a workshop. Regards, Irmgard
