I spotted this field with three horses in the early morning near Kushiro Marsh, before the morning mist had cleared. The run down shack in the background was a common site in Hokkaido. We figured that land must be much, much cheaper than Tokyo as people just build newer building next to the old ones when it comes time to replace them, then let the old one fall down all by themselves.
Where's the third horse??
Daddy Horse will be here tomorrow...

This is very nice Martin. The only downside, and hard to avoid is the sky, which is overcast and featureless. Certainly that is not your fault. Perhaps a slight gradient over the top quarter of this could liven things up just a little. Your composition certainly is textbook. Nice shot.

Nice shot, the young horse eating near the falling shack makes me think about how precious life is compared to material... I was surprised to read that it was taken in Japan, I thought that everything was nice and new in Japan! The fading background is very nice. Well seen!
