This is the first of three shots I'm going to upload from Shikisai No Oka (Hill of Seasonal Colour) Farm in Hokkaido. I composed the shot half and half to show the heavy sky too.

This is beautiful, Martin. I really like how the flowers are really light and jumping out at me from the screen, than moving onto the centre of the shot (getting a little darker...I adjusted my monitor from the last time, so I think I get what you get right now...same tones) and than the sky. Spectacular landscape shot.
Looks more like Europe than Japan...or maybe a little like Canada as well, the house looks exactly as those found on farms on the the west coast.

Beautiful landscape photo. I like how you composed the shot -- the half and half works very well in this case.

I was thinking the same as Fil, I'd have placed this as the bulb fields of Holland, the dutch barn is an unusual sight for Japan, love the dramatic sky, it really brings the flowers to life.

The colors came out surprisingly vibrant despite the gray sky.

Great shot. I like the heavy sky and I would have nver guess this was Japan.
