Origin was opened as a Hiroshima product museum and it was called the Hiroshima encouragement-of-industry hall at the time of atomic bombing. Warning and wish of it registering with the world heritage of UNESCO and "the same tragedy never happening" are put, and it is especially called negative world heritage. Hiroshima developed quickly as miritary city ignited by what the Imperial Headquarters set by First Sino-Japanese War (1 August 1894 – 17 April 1895). With expansion of economic magnitude, the cultivation of market of the product from Hiroshima had become pressing need. The "Hiroshima product museum" was made the plan as the base. Construction was determined by the Hiroshima prefectural assembly in 1910, and it was completed in 1915 five years after. The builder of the design is Jan Letzel from Czechoslovakia. The height to the tip of a dome is about 25 m. It was a building of the mixed style which has a details ornament of the Sezession style in a neo baroque frame. The building was changed by the Hiroshima encouragement-of-industry hall in 1933. The fine-arts exhibition was held briskly and it contributed to these days greatly also as a cultural base in Hiroshima. B-29 bomber "Enola Gay" of the U.S. Forces set the Aioi bridge located next to west of this building as the dropping target, and it dropped the atomic bomb on August 6, 1945. The contamination deceased during August, 1945 to December are presumed to be 90,000 people or 120,000 people while with a population of 350,000 of Hiroshima of those days. The purpose of this atomic bombing can consider the following three reasons. One making the prolonged war situation ending and the second is avoiding carrying out damage increase a U.S. Forces soldier's by decisive battle in the mainland of Japan. And, the third was trying the effect of the new style bomb completed by Manhattan Project which started in October, 1942. Hyde Park memos were exchanged between President Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Churchill, and having used an atomic bomb to Japan was determined in September, 1944. And, the middle ohotograph is "red bird" monument which are near the A-bomb memorial dome by Juvenile writer Miekichi Suzuki. The right photograph is Motoyasu River which flows through the Hiroshima central part. Revival of postwar Hiroshima begins from the spectacle in which the hut of barracks stands side by side to a sheet of burned field, and has become a major urban area of the Chugoku-Shikoku district in which a population of 1,200,000 lives now.

Secession:

Secession refers to a number of modernist artist groups that separated from the support of official academic art and its administrations in the late 19th and early 20th century. The first secession from the official politics occurred in France, when, in 1890, the "Salon au Champs-de-Mars" was established, headed by Meissonnier and Puvis de Chavannes. In the years following artists in various European countries took up this impulse, primarily in Germany, Austria–Hungary, and Belgium, which 'seceded' from traditional art movements and embraced progressive styles. The first secession outside France formed in Munich in 1892, soon followed by the Berlin Secession in the same year. (From wikipedia)
