Photographers Note
My first post on TE, I chose sakura. I visited this place in the spring last year (2008). Iwakuni is one of the great places to see cherry blossoms, sakura. For me as a tropical person, it's a wow ;). Tourists from both Japan and overseas who visit Hiroshima and Miyajima often extend their travels to include Iwakuni in Yamaguchi Prefecture. In early spring, the sight of sakura, along the Nishiki river is unforgettable. This is the Kintai Bridge which spans the Nishiki river and is made completely of wood, without nails.

Hi Henny
welcome in TE with this beautiful picture of a traditional japanese event.
I like your picture, very full of life in every pixel.
And well composed on three layers: the tree, the bridge and the mountain.
Greetings

I just love the cherry blossoms. It makes me think of summer. Also, Indonesia is one of my most favourite places in the world.

hello Henny
Welcome to TE community. Your 1st post entry of this wooden bridge during the sakura season is very well captured scene.
I have seen this scenery from another TE post and it is really very beautiful view showing the attractive wooden bridge. Definitely a great photography subject.
I notice that you gave comments and critiques. I would suggest that you read the FAQ section regarding the difference and perhaps it is more appropriate for you to use critiques.
Very interesting posts from you and to see how as Indonesian, your way of seeing things in Japan through the camera.
Greetings from Borneo.

Hi Henny. A nice angle that shows the architectural detail of the Kintai Bridge, surrounded by the seasonal beauty of the cherry blossoms. The photo framing is well built - tree, bridge, background. Technically, the white blossoms are a bit overexposed - you can minimize this effect (and retain a bit more detail in the blossoms) if before shooting, you meter the exposure with your camera against this bright area, and then later you slightly brighten the overall picture.
It seems that you were at this place on the same day in April last year as my wife and I :)

Cherry blossoms and KINTAIKYOU are beautifully taken in the photograph.
The wind in spring blows and I want to see this flower early this year.
