Photographer’s Note

i went to a 24hours arcade centre in okayama, japan and i was surprised that there is still alot of youngsters having fun there and it wasnt in the weekend.

i saw someone playing bowling, and i wanted to try to take a panning shot of this girl playing.

i did some croping to cut some spaces, make it black and white and adjust some levels.

Although it my be critizised technically, i like the authentic style which reflects the situation.

Nice motion shot and it works fine in B&W to keep our attention on the movement and not be distrubed by any colors. could have been less centered by cropping a little on the left.
This shot would fit well in the April scavenging hunt under "motion". Well done.

Very graceful posture, good capture of the motion. If you could have kept the panning to strictly horizontal (there is a little bit of vertical blur too) the photo would be perfect. Is this handheld or did you rest the camera on something?

Great use of motion blur and i really like the B&W here. Well done fo rgetting her so sharp, i guess you used a flash as well. I might have cropped a little off the left and made the white bg a bit less strong, but a great contribution to the SH. Well done.

I like the motion blur, not only back and forth, but up and down too. It shows that this young person moved forward and then bent. Very nicely taken, and well done. Perfect for the Scavenger Hunt.

This is a wonderful picture, the black and white adds a lot here. I think the girl is too centered though, having her a little bit to the left, would have made it a perfect picture.
