On one of the JR Miyajima Ferries which serves the route between Hiroshima and Miyajima (Itsukushima). The trip takes about ten minutes. There is an hourly express passenger ferry to Hiroshima harbour. Itsukushima (厳島, Itsukushima?) is an island in the Inland Sea of Japan. Itsukushima is part of the city of Hatsukaichi in Hiroshima Prefecture. It is popularly known as Miyajima (宮島, Miyajima?), the Shrine Island. Itsukushima is famous for the Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Miyajima's maple trees are renowned throughout Japan, and blanket the island in crimson in the autumn which attracts both local people and foreigners.

Di atas salah satu ferry Miyajima JR yang melayani rute antara Hiroshima dan Miyajima (Itsukushima). Perjalanan antara kedua port berlangsung selama 10 menit. Ada juga feri ekspres yang melayani penumpang setiap jam menuju pelabuhan Hiroshima. Itsukushima adalah sebuah pulau di dalam perairan Jepang yang merupakan bagian dari kota Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima Prefektur. Lebih dikenal dengan nama Miyajima, Pulau Kuil, di mana terletak Kuil Itsukushima, salah satu Situs Warisan Dunia UNESCO. Selain itu pohon mapel Miyajima terkenal di seluruh Jepang dan menarik pengunjung lokal maupun asing di musim gugur.
