Photographer’s Note
Taken on a recent expedition to the summit of (Mt) Kitadake, the second highest mountain in Japan. Great weather afforded a clear view of Mt Fuji and intermediate mountains and valleys.
This shot was taken using the "dawn/dusk" preset on the camera giving it a mysterious blue wash and enhancing the cold feel of the scene.

Hello Dave ... nice the blue tones, hill after hill, seems like never ending. Good choice of your title, made me smile. Well done. All the best, Barbara.

Beautiful layer effect amongst the mist. I like the blue tones so good choice with that setting. Mt. Fuji is sitting in the right spot as it makes the photo interesting from corner to corner. Cheers~

Spectacular misty view! The mist creates such a particular atmosphere, and the layer and light effect are amazing! Wonderful photo...I have no words to explain better what I feel.

Its a really great shot. the different shades of blue gives a strong perspective and the overall tonality of colour is really eyepleasing.

Hey Dave,
The layering "transluscent blue" brings you to a trance, makes it a graphic image due to the "blue-wash" tone. I like the overall impact, clouds, sunrays, mist and the depth. I've never seen Mt. Fuji presented this way!

Jom

While I was in Japan, I was dreaming about good shot of Fuji, which during several days drowned in clouds so I had to cancel my plans... The only one superb view of the Mountain I saw from the plane.. unfortunately, the camera was too distant that time.. That is why I am so happy to see now, your wonderful "Fuji". All the blues.. all the waving shapes, the silhouette of the Fuji are really breathtaking. Thank you for sharing!
Best, Agnieszka
