Photographer’s Note
I always wanted to take a tight close-up of Mt. Fuji to capture the hugeness of this mountain. Could do it on my last visit to Yamanaka-Ko (lake).
This photo is taken at 6:30am of a sunny morning of 3rd January. Snow on Mt Fuji turns clightly orange when sun rises. You have to be there ready with your weapons to catch that moment as it lasts hardly for few minutes.
Have sharpen the image a bit in PS. Hope you will like it.

I have mixed feelings about this image. The light is great, emphasizing the topography of the mountain, and giving you a pleasant golden color cast. Was this a crop of a larger image? Although you have considerable noise, the image is sharp and a lot of detail is visible, including the switchbacks of one of the trails leading to the top. I wish you wouldn't have cropped this tightly, because the mighty mountain appears very crowded by your frame, especially above but also on the sides. There seems to have been a slight haze in he air, which is responsible for low contrast. Great metering for the snow.
