This is the last picture from the fire that I witnessed in Niigata.
Again it was taken with the Ixus and I sharpened it a little afterwards.

Like a newspaper shot... That special touch is interesting here. You were (almost) in the action, we can feel that.

Harry,
curious to see that this shot attracted 221 people but only 2 commited so far to write a critique. Your image has a journalistic value and looks very good to me! The softness is interesting and gives the feeling of smoke everywhere. The colors red, yellow and blue are a real eye catcher.

Hi Harry,
I do not understand why there's so little interest for this picture.
The colors are great and the subject is really unusual. You could just have increased a little the sharpness but as Peter said, it's also an interesting approach.

An excellent full of action with the smoke contributing to the less sharp areas. Well done, Marlene
