Photographer’s Note
It seems the train is being blocked and there's no way out but actually it is moving out of the station. This photo was taken on the same day with "Winter St." photo I posted before.

WOW!
Great photo you have here, Tan. The view is lead diagonally by the wires and trails right to the subject - the train - and further on. And of course it had to be B&W, what else... Contrasting is perfect, the subject being in the "middle" between black wires and white snow. The DOF is also great. Compliments and thanks for sharing!

It is really snow blockade. Snow are all around...
And mountains... Lonely train and not a soul... Empty.
Only photographer, of course.
Br-r-r-r. Terrible

Quite an amazing sight, Tan - it really shows the hard winter that Japan was experiencing this season, and at the same time it shows the impeccable efficiency of the Japanese at keeping their public transportation up and running under even the most adverse conditions. Good shooting angle to show this view of the train station and surrounding infrastructure, and nice choice with the contrasted b&w presentation.

Hi Tan,
Impressive scene with snow just everywhere including the wires. Colour version might be better to show the train more clearly.

Great capture of all the snow in this photo. I like how all the snow is even on the wires at the top of the photo. The train does look frozen with the snow all around it. I agree that the black and white is an excellent choice again.
