this is the skiing/hotspring resort town of asagai in mikuni, on the mountaineous borders of niigata/nagano.

Not sure how much I like this one, but it certainly made me look at it several times. I am not sure about the composition iteself, but the winter atmosphere is very well rendered in beautiful monochromatic tonality.

I agree with Cristian that this is a picture to look at and to look at again. I like the composition and the dominance of white to bring across a feeling of coldness and even loneliness. A good picture!
