This photograph is taken towards the direction of Shimosuwa from the Okaya at lakeside of the Lake Suwa. Lake Suwa is the greatest lake within the Nagano prefecture located in the Suwa basin in central Nagano. Area is 13.3 km2, surrounded around 15.9 km, and is at the point of 759 m above sea level. It is straddled to Okaya-shi, Suwa-shi and Shimosuwa town. In a lake, a lot of pond smelts live and many anglers visit this lake. In the opposite shore, we can see the rows of houses of Shimosuwa town and the south Alps mountain range in back. Okaya-shi prospered as the center of the silk industry from the 1910s to the 1920s. Now, it is known as a prosperous place of the precision machinery industry, such as a clock and a camera.

Big stones contrast the small stones along the blue lake shore.
Fine clear image, good view to the other side of the lake, I can spot many of the waterfront houses stretchs afoot to the ridge across.
Have a nice weekend,

This is a very pleasant photo. It must be the bodies of water that tend to have a soothing effect. Your timing was impeccable, catching a wave just before it breaks on the shore, making it look as though the lake is rising in its basin.
