[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Well, this photo was taken at the Opening Ceremonies of the Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan. I actually have a larger photo of this particular moment on my wall, and it looks much better, because I had a professional imaging lab enlarge it for me (I cropped the photo for this site). These young Japanese girls are just starting to swirl around pop signer Ryoko Moriyama as she is singing "When Children Rule the World", they have just thrown off their other costumes and entered the stage. It was truly an emotional moment and one I will always treasure. I was just clicking shots one after other with my friend's Canon. We were in the upper deck, so it's a little far away. An interesting side note...the organizers had originally intended to use only 50 young school girls from a larger group, but when they saw how sad the other girls were at not being able to participate, they decided to use them all.
