momiji, a photo from Nagano, Chubu

Photographer's Note

Karuizawa is a very trendy place, very crowded in high season (summer). But in November it was almost deserted, and then was a very nice place to have a good week-end!
Momiji (maple) leaves are very popular for Japanese photographers in this season, as they turn bright red. This photo is a classic, and you can probably fine many other (better) examples :)

Yes, a classic Japanese momiji shot but I don't think I've seen any better on TE. Nice shot. Perfect DOF. Nice saturated colours. Other fall colours in the background as well as a hint of blue sky. I can't think of any way to improve it.

Looks unreal, however, where should I focus my eyes? Maybe if you could only focus on one part of the leaves would be a nicer picture? Great colours though and thanks for sharing

Tremendous capture of Japan's vibrant autumn colors, and great use of DoF. The background and the fall of the branch both compliment the subject. Nice.
