Light-up is conducted 8 nights a every winter.
So many tourists are there so very difficut and exhausted to get the best poition, but fruit is quite reasonable.
I used snow light filter and 1.4extender.

This is just amazing, I have never seen a scene like this before! It is like every Christmas movie I have seen, but real! The lights here are amazing against the snow. I can imagine there are many, many tourists here but well worth the exhaustion for a result like this.
Thanks as always

A wonderful scene, like something from a children's story book. You had a good vantage point to be able to capture it. Good light management in this dark situation.

very pretty and intriguing night photo. The snow covering the wooden houses make them more charming and adds so much to the picture. I like the lights scattered about the village. Very good POv to show quite big part of it and nice framing.
Thanks for sharing

hello takero. it is the first time i hear about a snow light filter. is it used to avoid overexposure of snow during long exposures? indeed looks like a great tool. however in istanbul, we never see so much snow, so i can just appreciate how you used it. superb vertical composition with excellent exposure and sharp stars. i feel like looking at a box of glittering treasure.

I found myself studying this photograph for ages. There was so much to enjoy!
It reminds me of childhood, of storybooks and gingerbread houses.
I like how the houses and the lights lead us from the bottom r/h corner in a zig-zag motion across the frame, to enjoy every little detail.
The snow, like thick fondant icing, overlaid with interesting shadows, is particularly good.
Have a lovely day,

The houses are well positioned in this picture and all the lights are very well captured. The shining "stars" along the diagonal is particularly good.

this is wonderful. It looks so beautiful and Christmassy. The detail and clarity are just perfect and the effect mesmerising. A fairy tale image, presented imaginatively. Love it!
Have a good week - B.

You are posting this photo three weeks too late, as it looks like the ultimate Japanese Christmas card!
This is such a charming place, and from your point of view, it almost looks like a miniature village in Legoland... :-p))
I appreciate the composition and the way you have framed this series of house, creating a trail of light among the other houses. Next time you go there, please call me, I want to visit this lovely village!

This is amazing, the snow certainly adds to this super evening photo of theses fantastic houses, we can certainly see why the roofs are so steep.
Great Pov, and splendid management and presentation.

Magical shot from a high viewpoint: I thought I was looking at a Swiss chalet scene! Did you also use a starburst filter? I like this a lot.
