Photographer’s Note
This image was taken in a souvenirs shop in Takayama.
There's a small booth in the shop and this man is baking Senbei (Japanese Crackers).
It's burnt in a kiln, which in the middle of the image, and he passes along the crackers he made to visitors for tasting.
He also explains how to make the crackers on the fence. It interests me.

Hello Tsutomu,
Thanks for sharing this daily-life photo of Japan with TE!
One of the things I like most about this site is that here you can find photos like this, that show real-life people, not just tourist views! It's like going behind the stage at a concert :)
Cheers,
Tudor

Hello Tsutomu,
Nice to see you back on TE again. Is this krupuk he is making? It is very popular with Indonesian people in Netherlands. We eat it with our main course. Please keep posting! Regards, Gilbert
