B&W color makes another different image.
Unfortunatelly it was rain but small cloud can be a good acent.

How are you doing?
This is very attractive b&w presentation of this charming place. Quite moody and melancholic scene perfectly composed and executed with a good quality. Like it a lot! TFS.

Beautiful gassho zukuri! And the one in front, I think is Wadake House? When I visited it was early spring, somewhere between the snow and sakura seasons so it wasn't as nice as this.
You took a lovely photo of this place and the rain you are talking about is not visible. The cloud created additional interest in the upper part of the image. Great idea to shoot it in portrait format and present it in black and white.

Yes, I like that cloud between the roofs and the hill.
Wonderful alternation of dark facades and white snowy roofs.
Best regards, Paul

A very unique image, appearing like an artist's pen and ink drawing rather than photo. And the village shrouded in snow with a forest background is very appealing.

A rare monochrome from you! You've posted quite a few shots from this location, and I can see why you found it so fruitful, as the combination of snow and almost Swiss-chalet-like buildings are very photogenic. I guess they look like Swiss chalets for a very good reason: two distinct architectures coming to the same solutions to the same environmental problems. Lovely composition by the way!

you are absolutely right: B&W color makes another different image. I would say, sometimes it creates a different world, it helps us to look at the place with different eyes.
This scene looks mysterious to me (also thanks to the background). Very interesting!
my warmest greetings to you,
