The unique roofs of Shirakawa-go gassho house need repairing every several years. The roofs must be solid enough to support masses of snow it can be 2 m. In WS a broader view of this house.
Maybe I should also make such a roof? It is only November and we have a lot of snow, see the view out of my window today.

This is an interesting photo, also graphically very attractive. The men create a triangle fitting the strong horizontal and vertical lines very well. The photo is instructive and the texture of the straw is very nice.
Today we are almost neighbours, and I also have a lot of snow outside my window. What a coincidence :-)

Japan is not only one country ultramodern, but it preserves also its traditions. Your beautiful photograph points out it in a spectacular way. Cheer.
Have a nice day

This is a very good picture with the parallel horizontal lines and the very obvious triangle of working men. Fine colours too! Fine WS:s too, you seem to have more snow in Warsaw than we have in Gothenburg, but we had minus 10 degrees this morning, probably the coldest November day ever. Whart´s the temperature at your place?

Fine capture, I once captured something similar. But in this one, the working itself is quite picturesque because of the straw roof. Well done.

To chyba niebezpieczna praca na wysokości , ale chyba zarazem ciekawa. Perfekcyjna ostrość. Bardzo dobry reportaż.

An excellent depiction of the process of repairing a thatched roof structure! The photo is so sharp that the cross sections of individual reeds can be seen. And as a group, the three repairmen remind me of musical notes.

again, i am truly enjoying your Japan series!
amazing how such a simple composition of lines, and 3 sporadically placed elements can produce such a visually attractive scene.

I like how the reed makes a uniform backdrop for the blue overalls and how the frame divides in an crammed bottom 1/2 and a nearly empty top 1/2. The one man up in the middle is a great element to link these two parts.
