Photographer’s Note
here is another shot I took of nagoya castle on the same day as the last picture,
Nagoya Castle was built in the beginning of the Edo Period for one of the three Tokugawa family branches, the Owari. Consequently, Nagoya developed into an important castle town and ultimately Japan's fourth largest city.
The castle was almost completely destroyed in the air raids of 1945. The current ferro-concrete reconstruction dates from 1959.
The interior of the castle is now a modern museum displaying the castle's history. The castle park becomes a popular hanami spot during the cherry blossom season
please see my last picture for more notes
I hope you like the picture

Hi, Dan, I see we're neighbors today!
Very nice composition, great blending of two of Japan's finest traditions - cherries and castles. I do think you could have lowered the midtones a bit, though; the colors look a little flat.

Dan

Very nicely captured architecture of this castle in such lovely colors and contrast, very sharp and nicely composed.
I see this castle is very similar to Hong's version in Osaka shown here?
Nice shot.

Your picture takes us to Japan with the castle roof and the cherry flowers. The tone of colors overall in the picture also makes it Japan TFS.

Hi Dan
What a classic Japanese scene. I love the compo which combines well the temple and sakura. The lighting is a bit flat but nevertheless the shapes and colours make for a very pleasing image. Well composed shot, thanks for this seasonal offering!

Hi Dan, An ideal POV with the blossoms in the foreground as you have it. It is one of the most beautiful castles in the world in my opinion. Interesting notes. TFS. Murray.

Hi Dan,
Again a very successful photo of the beautiful castle. Great inclusion of the blossoms, on the right hand side this time. The colours throughout the photo are very pleasant, also thanks to a fine, soft light. Very well done!

Hi Dan, A wonderful use of nature, you have composed a very good photo with your well chosen POV, the stunning Chinese architecture with it's hard sharp corners, contrasts perfectly with the soft rounded pink blossom, great photo, kind regards Wilson.
