Photographer's Note
Today is a special day, it is my birthday, yes I am getting old, I have just turned 26.
Well, the second venue of my birthday venture today was to Nagoya Castle, and from the previous shot of the castle that you have seen so far were from last year, but now the forth coming ones are this years. Well, this time I took this pic, because there were two people taking the shot and so I waited, by the time I had finished with this shot I had a queue of people behind me wanting to take this pic, it was kind of funny because the people behind only had their disposable cameras.
Well THE NEW FUTURE, is about cherry blossom in Japan, because it is about starting a new, and so i thought a new age and a new beginning for me. But what is that exactly????
I hope you enjoy this pic, it did take a long time to get this right. I will send more later
Thanks for your comments

Happy birthday!
Nice shot of this nice Japanese castle and its cherry blossom foreground. Only complaint I have is that the colorbalance is off to the cold side, there is too much blue in the image. I made a WS, see if you like it.

Oh happy birthday Daniel - And a very beautiful photo you have given us a present (use to be the other way around ;-) I like the soft greenish colours and the blurry tower - Nice work - it was worth the time.

Great composition. I think I disagree with Jeppe. I think the tower is so slightly out of focus that it may have been better to make it one thing or the other, if you can enough control with that Sony.

Congratulations on your birthday, and congratulations on a photo well made ;-) The way you've let the cherry blossoms frame the house is a nice idea.

Great shot Dan. Wonderful composition and use of DoF. It's very blue though - did you use fill flash at all? Whatever, you've captured a very Japanese moment here. A lovely photo.
PS. Happy Birthday!

Too bad I missed this yesterday, Daniel, so I'm one day late in wishing you all the best for your birthday !!
And you're celebrating the occasion with one of your best shots. A very fine composition with the bright cherry blossoms in the foreground, and using them as a frame for Nagoya Castle. All pleasingly set against a grand blue sky. Excellent.

As someone who traveled to Nagoya and visited Nagoya castle before, I have to say that this pic brings the castle into a new light for me. The clear blue sky gives me a serenc felling when I see this pic. Beautiful!!!

Very good shot, symbolizing Japan perfectly while combining traditional architecture and these so typical flowers. Is saturation natural or improved?

Hi Dan, nice composition, I do not know if I would have preferred more deep DOF or not, but this remains a good shot.
Happy birthday (even if I'm terribly late, but I saw your photo just now ;-) )
