Walking through villages on our way to a cave in Maros just outside Makassar, with prehistoric paintings.
This young boy enjoying Sunday and no school sititng on his balcony watchign the two 'ballanders" balancing on the narrow rice field dijks. The word ballander meaning foreigners comes from the words hollander. The word ballander is also used in the aboriginal language refering to the early dutch traders that come from Indonesia.
