Hi Stephen,
The image is well composed with the boats being a strong focal point on the foreground.
Nice colours and sharpness with the image showing good depth. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Stephen,
These boats are quite interesting I like that one is old and the other one looks much newer. They are well placed in the frame and they point our eyes in the direction of the rest of the beautiful landscape. It is a pity there was not just a touch of sun to warm things up a bit more, but there is nothing you could do about that. Over all a lovely image.
Regards
Wanda

Lovely shot with superlative colours and textures of nature and a good use of the depth and perspective. I like the scenic beauty and the way you have composed it

Hi Stephen,
I worked one year in Indonesia. Northern Sumatra to be precise. I haven't been in Nusa Tenggara, but similar views are possible around Lake Toba. Nice one!
The ND Grad makes that the light in the foreground stands out nicely. I would have gone for f/22 and perhaps a higher iso if you had not tripod. The mountains in the distance feel a bit soft. But still a nice compo, bringing back memories!

Dennis

Hello Stephen!
A very nice photograph!
The twin boats, the water vegetation, the mirrorlike waters and the hills in the background... everything makes such a nice scene!
TFS - Congratulations!

Hello Steve,
Excellent balance of light, the filters are doing their job right. The PoV is great. The lines seem a little bit misaligned though.
Cheers

Hi Steve,
Must have been a good experience to take a ride on one of those canoes which appear to be carved out from a log. Just wondering the thought of tropical crocodiles ever came to your mind...;-)))). We used to cook those floating water plants for feeding pigs.
The composition of this photo is excellent with the 2 canoes in the foreground. I suppose you have used the GND to brighten up the FG with the bright green water plants. It looks really good.

Alfred

Hello Stephen,
Seems like like the boats are carved from one piece of wood, then they need to be semi-submerged to stay water-tight!
An interesting documentary and a well composed image, attractive colour palette that shows the lush vegetation...
