Every life is unique ... and every life is difficult. We are often surprised at our own envy toward someone else.

"If only I were beautiful like Marilyn Monroe."

"If only I were a rock star."

"If only I lived the adventures of Ernest Hemingway."

By becoming someone else, we would not have our usual problems—that much is true. But we would have others—theirs!

This old lady, however, one who seem to live with harmony. Most often they have the feeling that life is generous. They are able to enjoy the people around them and the little pleasures of every day: do the worships, meals, sleep, and relationships.

It was about 05.50am once upon a time at the floating market on a huge river called Barito... 10km west Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, Indonesia...

Hello Bima,
The light, and softness and gentle colours in this photo make it really a great shot. The composition is excellent to really draw our attention to the lady, and from the shot info, I although it was probably a lot brighter than the picture looks in real life, I think the darkness of it is what makes it stand out.

i love this shot, and i can imagine it wasnt easy to capture
with that little light, i would expect a lot of noise (i dont know if its the correct term though=))
was the sun rising? is that the light on her hand?
its very peaceful, not too intense.

Hello Bima, this is such a very excellent portrait of this lady in the boat. It's dark, but it fits the mood well and of course the time (early in the morning). The colour with this light is soft, that works well here too. You have her positioned perfectly in this frame just about to take a stroke with the paddle, and with the light just starting to hit her. You couldn't have timed this much better. Very well done.

The image is very delicate, beautiful and interesting. Perhaps it's a little underexposed. you could try to lighten the shadows and see the rsult.
