Sape is the main port for eastern Sumbawa and where you'll get ferries to Flores. Wooden houses, built on stilts in the mud, line the shore, each with a fishing boat moored out the front. There is a bit of boat building going there too. The boats are constructed with planks of wood bent into shape and held together with rough wooden studs between the planks, not a nail or screw to be seen.
These boats were waiting in the early morning to take passengers to nearby coastal towns and islands, when I was waiting for the ferry to Flores.

I think this one works very well, Stephen. I like the perspective on the boats and they make a strong and interesting shape in the foreground. You have some nice textures in the boats and the view behind gives nice context. regards kevin
Excellent travel image! The colorful boats in that perfect comp really looks appealing.

Hi Stephen,
A very colourful and well composed picture. Lots of fine details among the boats and an equally interesting view of the background.
