Photographer’s Note

Ende is the main city in the Island of Flores, most people just pass through on their way from Moni to Bajawa and the guidebooks do not give it much justice. However as far as geography goes, the city is located on a bay with a view over two volcanoes across the bay. Also there is a very interesting market which is where this man was doing his trade.

I think that for this photo I drew some inspiration from Clodreno's work. Claud's images were always full full of people, colour and often included tissues in them. Unfortunately he is no longer posting in TE but you can find him in here

Hello Daniel,
Wonderfull shot; very nice composed. The colourfull clothes in the foreground acts like a special passepartout to that shot. Very nice pov and quite good sharpness.

C'est vrai que l'on dirait une photo de Claude. Les couleurs vives, la forme de composition, la faible profondeur de la scène prise. Beaucoup de similitudes.
Une photo particulièrement plaisante, soignée.

Bella y eficaz composición. Destacan, claro está, los colores, increíblemente bien tratados, suaves, naturales y bellos! Parece un arco iris (un poco mutilado, es cierto). Me gusta que estén colocados de tal modo que parezcan formar una ventana a través de la cual se asoma este hombre con su máquina de coser. El mundo íntimo de la tienda y una fachada llena de color! Bonita imagen, muy bien realizada!

Salut Daniel: a very apt homage to Claude who many of us remember with great affection snd respect. I think the compo works very well, using all those textiles to "frame" the man who lives off them... My only nitpick is the man seems too dark in comparison to the bright cloths (on my screen at least).

Effectivement, une photo directement inspirée de notre ami Claude où l'on retrouve bien son style avec des couleurs et des gens. J'aime bien comme tu as utilisé le décor pour placer cet homme dans l'angle supérieur de l'image. En plus je suis fan de ces vieilles machines à coudre que l'on peut encore voir dans certains pays du monde comme ici. Par contre, je trouve juste que le visage de l'homme est un peu sombre, mais je pense que l'exposition n'était certainement pas facile dans ce lieu.

bel hommage, c'est vrai qu'on reconnait le style du maître mais il fallait quand même la voir cette scène, et le mérite te reviens.
