[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
"It's almost impossible to get really fresh catch from the sea in Indonesia," wrote Bondan Winarno, a famous culinary writer. I asked him whether I could eat raw fresh sea food as I did in Cannes.

The problem is, he wrote in his email, Indonesian fishing boats don't have proper refrigeration system to keep their catch still so fresh to be consumed in raw.

Yet, these fresh prawns still look so yummy to me.

I took the picture in Muara Angke fish market in North Jakarta.

For long, people have gone to this market to get fresh and cheap seafood and grilled the food at once. In the recent years, local people have built better, cleaner place for visitors to grill and eat the fresh seafood. We pay them a small amount of money as the service fee. Big dinner for 15 people with prawn, crab, varieties of fish and lobster will cost us about U$.75.
