Far away in the Kalimantan wild forest (Indonesian territory), North East... In a Dayak village, Merabu. 200 people living with hunting, agriculture and small handcraft. They are wellcoming, nice, smiling. But 50 years ago, they were head reducers...
Dayak is the term used for the indigenous people of Borneo. It is estimated there are more than 200 Dayak tribes on Borneo.
In this village, there is no tourism structure : you sleep on the ground in the chief's house and the bathroom is the river... But what a life experience... |

very nicely captured daily life shot here, with a great perspective and very good sense of depth, thanks to the path and the houses, one behind the other. Very good overall sharpness, with a lot of well visible details. I don't know, how would it work in b/w, but surely I like this coloured version.
Best regards.
