nature morte #1 Photo

Photographer’s Note

It was at the white crater, west java, taken last year.
the same place as this picture

I brought this picture to our local club when we had assignment, "nature morte". so this is one of my submission, which turned out got zero point. as this is not "nature morte". I knew then that nature morte in france language means still life : picture of flowers on the vase, fruits, tea pot etc.

Well I hope you like my 'nature morte' :)

Great minimalistic composition. I love it, the little tree is very sharp, and also has a nice little shadow on the other side. I like the details and colour of the water. Excellent sharpness. Maybe a point of consideration would be to take just a bit more of the rocky foreground, but maybe that's only my taste..but I think just that bit more foreground details would work very well.

Very interesting "nature morte" of our own. it transmits some kind of japanese feeling, very zen in a way. The greenish overall colour of the crater lake wraps your picture with some mysterious silent atmosphere. Very well done.

I clearly prefer your style of "nature morte" I hesitate between calm and melancholy.

The thumbnal doesnt do this justice. The wonderful texture on the water surface, is only visible on openibg. I like the simple elegance of the compo. Tfs!

J'aime bien ces couleurs "aquarium" ! Cela donne une touche triste à l'image ! De plus la nature décharnée de l'arbre accentue cet effet !
