Photographer’s Note
I caught this cute mother and child pair of Long-tailed Macaques (Macaca fascicularis) resting during the late afternoon - no doubt exhausted after stealing everything they could lay their little hands on ;-)
One enterprising individual managed to snatch my Passport, and then led me a merry chase to retrieve it. Fortunately I can hiss and bare my teeth too!

Yes, but did you then retaliate in the usual primate manner by exposing your butt?
Good capture, great expressions.
I'm a little divided on the DOF, it's so shallow that the body fur is blurred. It seems like the fur should be crisp. However having the body fur blurred does give more emphasis to the faces.
Can't fault your work.

I'd probably like it with a wee bit more light, and the depth of field is as Bob says, a bit of a judgement call. Overall, one of my favourite photos though.
I'd vote for the bare butt approach next time, perhaps you can get them to smile.

Tendresse et affection! Touchante photo, expression des visages frappante, douceur exprimée par la lumière, etc. Franchement, une photo très spéciale. Je l'aime beaucoup.

Glad to hear you wond the chase and managed to compose this wonderful photo. The emphasis on the faces is very nice.

Great shot. I investigated your traveling countries and suggest that with a talent like yours you should take your camera to Africa....
