[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Many times the mountains around Wamena look like this. I guess we were at 2500 meter here, and despite the fact that I know that people are living everywhere I was surprised to see a village as high as this (at the right middle of the photo). I think I couldn't stand it to live in a place like that, only mountains around, and no people at all. At least a 2 hour walk to the mainroad to Wamena.

But here it's quite normal. In fact, this people live close to the city as there is hardly any road here in Papua. Everything is done by airplane and helicopter, I guess many people will never see 'the city'.
