[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Besides old temples with traditional architecture, in Bali you may also see a modern artwork [modern in term of material used and technology applied], but still strongly based on Balinese culture and religion.

This is a sculpture of 'Wisnu', made of bronze, and in huge size. Not compeletely finished, this is only upper body part. The full sculpture will be this mighty Wisnu sitting on a gigantic mystical bird, called 'Garuda', stretching out both of its wings. I was told that the height of this full-size sculpture will be about 75 meter, which will be placed on top of building of another 75 meters high.

This mega project is located at Jimbaran Hill, Southern Bali, and named after this gigantic sculpture: 'Garuda Wisnu Kencana' Park. It is already opened for public, however, only two major parts of the sculpture have been finished and displayed for public: Upper body of Wisnu and Head of Garuda bird.

Will show you some nice views at this park, starting with this one....

Hi Benyamin,

Nice light on the sculpture and excellent sharpness. We can see the texture of the bronze. The angle is unusuall, which is good. Gilbert

Benyamin,
Very nice point of view with leafs on the top and the bottom of the picture. It frames the statutes so well. Well done.

Great POV, sharpness and colours. You did very well with the trees on bottom and on the top. They add an extra perspective. Well done.

A good POV to capture this statue towards the blue sky well framed with the leafs on top and down. A very sharp contrasted shot, well done Benyamin.

Hi Benyamin
This is a great way to capture a statute. I like your off-centre, side approach with the tree-branch at the top. I had captured the statute in front of Tirta Empul...was that Wishnu too?

Angshu

Hello Ben,
very well captured shot to this impressive statue from an excellent pov. You framed it very well and I like that you included only the upper part. Tfs and have a nice evening!
Attila

Hi Benyamin
Like the POV you have chosen for this composition. The upward looking angle gives a sense of awe and scale. The nice pastel colour of the blue sky adds greatly to the impact of the shot, too. Good detail rendered from the exposure and nice framing. Well done.

Hi Ben

I really like the low shooting angle pointed upwards. A strangely deceptive image, that makes the bronze sculpture look much older than it really is. Terima kasih, dans bagus sekali!

Hi Benyamin,

Bali is a place that lives in my dreams for a while now. Unfortunatly I still didn't have the opportunity to visit. Thanks for sharing views of this wonderfull place! I like this picture. The POV, colors and the composition including parts of trees on the top and bottom are really nice. I imagine how impressive it will be whem this statue will be completed. I really love its expression.

Regards,

Flavia

Hi Benyamin, this thumbnail certainly sticks out from your portfolio - excellent use of the side profile as he seems to be walking into the frame. Nice touch with the greenery in both the top and bottom of the frame, adds nice points of interest!

Hi Benyamin!
