I'm sitting here feeding firewood into the stove, waiting for a major storm to hit.
I could be there. Looking out at the fishermen's boats on the Bali sea. Making my way down the beach for a dinner of grilled tuna. Dinner and a beer, $2US. Sunset over the water, free.

Hi Bob. Boy, I wish I were there too! This shot gets my wander lust in high gear. Such a beautiful composition. The colours of the sky reflected in the sea are fantastic! Very well captured!

Good title, I sometimes think about this too. Personally I found the 50 deg celsius temperature difference in the last years cold nth China winter compared to my New Year in Australia a bit hard to take. But I'm waffling on... The colours in this are very pretty and it has a nice simple composition which is very appealing. The scan in this instance I think could be a little better; while the colours are good, I get the feeling that they lack in the scan what would have been there in the original print/slide.

The scenery and colors are truly breathtaking! The catamaran seemed to "float" in space as there is not a sharp distinction between sky and water.

Beautiful color... The colors are interesting.
The bid cloud also great, well scene.

But you can't ski without snow! I guess there are compensations. I like the dreamy quality of this image. I can feel the sway of the hammock as I glance at the scene and return to my siesta. Pleasant colours. It all works.

Dear Bob, ohhh my.....
Is there a saying in english that you "Speak out of my soul" ? We have a Lombok vacation booked for June and can't wait. Your picture is not really helping for that... ;-)
The picture is wonderful. Great colours with a horizon that we don't really see. Is that mist ? The boats look like those waterflys that sit on the surface. Very good use of the rule of thirds both vertically and horizontally.
If you have more pictures like these please post them :)

Yes, it's snowing for me too but I prefer to convince myself that the snowflakes are in fact flower petals swept with the wind as we're officially approaching springtime.
As you do, I often remind these moments specially when shortly coming back from the region (was In Borneo 3 weeks ago).
I like the moment you've captured, when you're still feeling the heat from the sun and the seasalt you've collected on your skin that day. Bintang, Tiger beer, San Miguel, Angkor or Lao whatsoever beertime is calling.
There's a certitude that tomorrow the same prao will be there at the same spot for the pleasure of your eyes and that the sea will reflect the same colors of the sky as today. It's sometimes good to think that nothing is changing at some places, even though you're leading a stressful life at the other end of the world.
Kalibukbuk? a nice name I've never heard before though I've been here and there in Bali.

What a lovely soft scene; the horizon fades away and the compo and colours are very good. Beautiful place and time.
