Photographer’s Note

This is the third time that this person is making an appearance here in TE. You've seen him
before sunset . You've seen him long after sunse .

This one was taken shortly after sunset.

Patience is a virtue for him. He didn't give up selling his peanuts and corn even after the lights went out. And his virtue rubbed on me. I didn't give up taking his pictures too. Well, it goes without saying that I have a night-long supply of peanuts from him.

The boy's smile matches the warmth of the colors of his items for sale. Tje color of the sand is perfect. Most of all I like his shirt which has such meaning to me. I like the lighting in this.

This is a very good shot because of lighting and good subject. I especially like the colours of his ware and how it reflects on his eyes. The other two shots are good but this is the best.

Great light and tones – they make peanuts and corns look beautiful. I like that water as a background. Well framed. I´m not sure about focusing...

I don't have any other word for the light in this shot than to call it magical. Beautiful how the lamp ever so subtly illuminates the peanut vendor, and the produce on his cart. This composition emanates a great warmth and seems to show me a mutual understanding between the two of you. Great stuff, Manny.

Manuel, this is great. The light works like magic on the corn and on his face. He likes the camera and the camera likes him. The dark sea is an excellent background. I like very much the position of the light and even the newspaper at the bottom. I don't see any focus problem. Very very well done.

Of your three photos it is the one that I prefer. It is magnificent, the light is beautiful and the composition is very well made a success. The smile of the young man is charming. Good shot!

I really like this one Manny. I love the blue/purple tone of the background, I like his expression and I think you did very well in using the light that was available to you. I am surprised how sharp this shot is, considering the lighting. Good one.

Excellent exposure. The light of the lamp creates a very intimate mood. Blue and yellow, as complementary colors, fit nicely together.
Good composition also, leaving space in the right side.

The light makes this picture so warm Many, even though there is a blue cast because the sun has set. The whole picture is very nicely composed. Well done Manuel.
