Excellent shot! I really like the perspective of the stupas, and the texture of their brickwork. As a matter of interest, does the colour balance reflect what you remember - it doesn't seem quite right to me, but I've never been there! Anyway, good work :-D

Brilliant shot, Robin - a great addition to TE. The textures and perspective are both excellent. I like the way the stupas follow the curved path of the floor tiles. Well framed.

Dear Robin, very well taken, the row of stupas with the DOF, great :) As I have chosen not to post old pictures of mine I will add this tradition here: When I was traveling around Java with an Indonesian family in '00 we also visited Borobodur. They told me that if you are able to touch the inner thumb of the buddha statue that is within every stupa you will have luck all your life. For most Indonesians this is not possible, but I'm 190cm tall, so it was possible. Now I have luck all my life :) BTW the background suggests Borobodur lays within a valley, but it is not. Magnificent views all around.

You've captured the rythem of these elements very well,also the contrast with the background is nice.I'd only liked the colors were stronger & sharper.

This is excellent, I can't imagine you making better of this given the conditions at hand. The stupas are very nice and sharp, you have a great perspective and everything is nicely exposed I think. Not much you could do about it, you have to take the conditions of the day, but this would be even better with less haze in the sky. As it is, it looks great and the haze doesn't detract, just that a nicer sky would look even better. Excellent.
