Glance through parasols, a photo from Jawa Tengah, Java

Photographer's Note

Yogyakarta, Java, in Malioboro street, many people are saling some food they prepared themselves directly on the sidewalk.
They often come from far areas of the city, and they change along the day, not the same in the morning, in evening.
This young woman is leaving , the sun begins to set, and she have a friendly glance for me through the parasols.
I think she knows me, I often walked around in this street to take pictures, it is very crowded, and always something is happening for who knows how to look at.

Et elle t'accorde quand meme un sourire! Une tres belle image, Joel, superbement cadree entre ces parasols avec ces vieux volets verts derriere. Vraiment rien a redire, c'est parfait.

Still I prefer this shot with the nice framing umbrellas, a bit timeless, curious my first impression was that of a man, hairstyle, heavy fore-arm but as you note tells, ok she must be a woman.
A good shot Joel, good dynamisme here, like it.

Pour ça les Indonésiens sont formidables, dès qu'il voient que tu vas les prendre en photo, ils te sourient!
Ce portrait cadré par les deux parasols est superbe. La femme a l'air très naturel et les volets créent un bel arrière plan. C'est excellent!
