Photographer’s Note
Another view again in Bromo
so many tourists coming, local or international, especially in summer holiday
Behind you could see a structure, the worship place.
The Tenggerese perform worship in places called punden, danyang and poten. The poten is a sacred area of ground at Mt. Bromo's Sand sea, and becomes the focus of the annual Kasada Ceremony. As a place of worship, the poten contains several buildings and enclosures, arranged in a specific composition.

I like the choice of the angle of view and the rythm it gives to the image.
And also the points of colors in this uniform sea of sand.
Nice ;-)

I am a little disconcerted by the angle of the building in the background but that out of the way this is a really great image of epic proportions - it is like the opening sequeunce of a film - what an incredible looking place and all that human movement and the horses, dots of colour and the dust - really quite something....but for me please undo the tilt just that little bit!I realise it's optical to some degree in that the front line of the structure is not that far off being parallel and the same goes for the back wall too - it really is a small adjustment down to the left - maybe I'm picky - I used to be a printer!
best wishes Kev

Another nice shot Cessy.
The early morning light, the dust, the people and horses, the temple... looks like a scene in a Hollywood movie! ;o)
I like the presence of all these people, it gives a scale. When I was there last year, we were alone... the atmosphere was quite different.

Hi Cessy
I loved the detail and action in this shot, all those people moving about and the people on horseback an almost western feel. This landscape is fascinating and the directional light has really brought out well the colours and relief.

Hi Cessy,
nice vertical composition, the light is beautiful and draws well the relief.
I like the dust, excellent atmosphere.
People look like a an ants colony at work.

Wow, this looks like a scene from Lawrence of Arabia or some other epic movie :) Excellent depth created by the people moving amidst the hilly landscape in the foreground, and a fabulous light you got in the way it accentuates the textures and features of this landscape. Nice how the perspective converges to the building in the back. Well done, Cessy.

Salut Cessy.

Well I tell you this looks like a place out of this world. It looks like ancient times of old from the Roman Empire era. You did well to shoot in low lighting creating an astounding photo. Cheers Paul.

Hi cessy
Are you sure this is tropical green Indonesia? It looks more like 'Lawrence of Arabia'. The 'poten' looks interesting too. More photo opportunities there, I'm sure. Bagus sekali!

Hi Cessy,
...this place is incredible! Without a note, i can believe this is a rock's desert somewhere in Africa: no green vegetation, 'dunes', dust... and this frenetic activity with so much people, hourses...
Very strong pov, very nice compo!
ciao, Giorgio

Hi Cessy, An excellent composition with an over view of the worship place. Great PoV and well capture of the mood and atmosphere. The dust kicked up by the horses provides the dynamic and busy feeling of the place. A very well taken picture.

Salut Cessy
Ce paysage est surpprenant !
Avec ces cavaliers en premiers plan, tout ces gens éparpillés un peu partout et cette poussière cela créé une belle dynamique.

Hi Cessy. Again this place reminds me of a Wild West movie. What a crazy and dusty place. I like the depth and light. I don't think the tilt is an issue. Nice work Cessy!

There was a lot of people for this Kasado Ceremony, Cessy... and I was there only on september 17th morning ... The boss of the hotel (Lava View) advised me not to go there in midnight with the camera...
Anyway, I just arrived in Ubud, Bali after having visited Java and Sulawesi.... Your country is wonderful... My 350D is working a lot! ;))
About the picture, this is a nice one too but I didn t saw this way so well as there was low clouds there in the morning... but the sunset was really wonderful... bye Fred

Hi cessy.
Very nice your composition. And all the people in the photo make a great effect. Riding horses, walking,... they draw a way until the end of the photo.
Well seen and a nice work.
Regards.
