[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This time is the turquoise sulfur lake at Kawah Ijen National Park.

Again, the sulfur fumes are absolutely overwhelming and the 3km trek up is exhausting (at least with huge my trekker bag). But it's worth it!

PS: I appologise for the 500px larger side and watermark in the frame, but some unauthorized use has happened before in other websites (including mine).

Hi Joel.
Another great photo from you.
Very nice dark sky with nice clouds combined with the mist from the sulfur lake.

Great shot! Without any question an excellent composition. A pity though for the small format.
I know it happens that pictures (or texts) are sometimes "stolen", that is something I do not like either.

an other excellent shot Joel...very impressive!
colors and POV are great..(may be i'd like a bigger iamge..)what is watermark*?

ciao

Stunning image quality. Too bad its 500px it would be mindblowing at 800. Great work Joel.

Hi Joel, great shot! I was there within days of you I think, around July 2. Didi you make the trek down into the crater?

Very impressive rough landscape. The clouds, the POV, the sulfur fumes: fabulous capture, Joel! Keep on posting!

All the best,
Gerd

..u have a beautiful gallery.
great work

Hi Joel,
A beautiful capture! The trek was well worth the effort :) The lake and the sulphur fumes are impressive. The smell must have been overwhelming. It reminds me of when I went to Burning Mountain here in Australia. I could really smell the sulphur.
You've composed the photo well, and the rich blue sky with those wonderful white clouds really adds to the photo. Lovely colours. Well done!
