Photographer’s Note

Sunda Kelapa is an important port for trading since hundreds years ago often visited by merchants from india and china then in 15th century the first European fleet, Portuguese ships, arrived in Sunda Kelapa from Mallaca.

And today the very same port still goes about its business every day

Would you believe I have been to Jakarta 4 times & still havent seen Sunda Kelapa? A good daily life shot with excellent color lighting & sharpness. I like the wide angled pov, & contrast. Bagus sekali!

Hi Cessy. Beautiful morning light floating through the scene, that is well composed with the worker carrying the load in front of the boat. Good contrast to enhance the moody setting, and nice patterns found in the sky.

Hi Cessy, A beautiful shot of the port. A nice contrast of the boat against the sky and the reflections on the water. It looks that the houses are located lower than the water level of the boat.
A nice shot with excellent color and contrast.

Very good photo job cessy. The morif is captured in the best way, presenting all details at the best, as light and colours are very balanced. the heavy frame is perfect for this compo. Very good job indeed.

These boats are really weird looking to my eyes... It always fascinate me to see how sailors and boat-builders all around the world are building boats that will exactly meet their needs and fit the weather and sea characteristics of the place, it leads to so many different types of boat, different shapes...
It's a very well composed picture. The boat coming in, the man at work, and the beautiful light! Well done!

As i already wrote, I've never seen such beautiful light in Sunda Kelapa nor that quietness ;)...
Your gorgeous lighted photo could make one believe this is a peaceful pastoral location :D !!!
