Photographer’s Note
Just came back from meeting in Bali, just get one day before and one day after the meeting to see around and taking pictures :)
These two men are traditional salt farmer with only less than 5 euro income per day. picking up the water from the sea and process it as salt in a very simple method.
hope you like it, will catch up your beautiful photos soon :)

Hello cessy.
This is a really bautiful shot, very moody enhanced by the slow speed.
Judicious use of B&W.
Reading your note,I find that life is not always easy around us and we should considered ourselves lucky, and that we should keep on helping those in need by working together.

This is just wonderful. The misty atmosphere really makes the image work and the two figures moving up the beach are nice subjects. If not for your note I wouldn't think that these two guys were salt farmers...fishermen maybe. Anyway, very nice shot and the B&W is a perfect choice. Good work.

Wow, Cessy, What a picture. I like this well composed B&W photo. The intensive and hard working mood and tough condition is clearly shown in this photo. A very nice capture of the wave, the slop and their bending forward struggling step up. Well done.

A very nice composition Cessy - i love it! Such a beautiful tonal range and fairly unusual to see such a strong B&W pic of a beach scene - great stuff!
best wishes

A beautiful scene, Cessy, that really excels in b&w with a lovely range of tones. Well framed with the men picking up the salt by the sea, and the misty atmosphere as well as the inclining angle of the shoreland add to a very nice compo.

Beautiful. The black & white here is wonderful. The sand, the light, the clouds,... are wonderful with the black & white. And the men are only shadows lost in the big sea... really nice.
Thanks for share.

Hi Cessy!
You live in Geneva and you still have meetings in your country? Are you working for the United Nations?
Anyway, it's good that you had some time to take some picture. I like the silouhettes of those 2 fishermans. Well done!

Hi Cessy, I was thinking you were going to be gone longer than this. Nice to see you were able to find some time and post this shot. The incredibly strong contrast works wonders. The b/w seems like a good choice too. But the lighting really makes this shot. Great note and shot Cessy!

Beautiful, moody picture! The mist gives an incredible atmosphere. I really like it, the composition is perfect!
How do they process the water afterwards? Simply boil it?

Cessy,
i think that the B&W is underlining the hard work of the two farmer. Good choice, dramatic and intense.

Hello Cessy

This another very moody BW photo from yours. The way you work the tones and especially the light and textures is very different from usual and I like it. Very nice framing with the coast line producing a good guide-line for our eyes from the foreground into the background.

A uniquely presented and very effective shot, Cessy. The B&W format works so well, as does the framing. The figures just emerging from the surf appear almost like aquatic creatures equally comfortable in water as land. The glisten of the water on the sand completes the scene. Very well thought out and captured. Regards. John.

Une superbe photo pour illustrer ces fermiers un peu à part !
Le contraste et la lumière sont extras, et on sent tout poids qu'ils transportent !
Bravo
Philippe
