Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken in a Hill tribe village on the island of Flores, Indonesia. What I love about this photo is how no two people seem to be looking in the same direction. At the same time, what puzzles me is why this is so. Have they perfected the art of posing for photos because they do it so often? Or is it that they do it so much they really don't care to bother looking at you? Or maybe they don't like the idea of being photgraphed by a bunch of stupid tourists but they do it anyway because it brings money to their village? Perhaps i'll never know.
