This shot is from the Torajan highlands, central-southern Soulawesi, a mainly Christian area. This lady, like thousands living in the high valleys was working in the rice paddies that hot, humid day.

crisp, joyful catch, Caleb. I think it's good you chose perfect focus in the middle-field of the frame, her left side, makes a good balance between all fields (or is it my screen again?)

A wonderful smile, not just with the mouth but with the eyes too. The face is nicely framed with the headscarf. Good clarity and exposure. As flydragon says, it's not your best - but then there are few pics as good as Javanese Eyes. I can't resist a quick peek every now and again.

I love the expression, the close-up, the sharpness, the light. What else can I say? O.K. maybe the eyes could be sharper, but you got hte catch light. You're still the master of candid people shots.
