Photographer’s Note
.
This photo were taken in a temple named Tanah Lot in Bali. I was there, taking cultural photo of a traditionnal ceremony hindu balinese..
To go the temple, the balinese must walk and cross the sea, it's not far, about 25 meter away, and usually, they go to the temple during low tide.. so there is no water..
But that day was the last day of the ceremony and the balinese have to go to this temple.. but the weather is not so good and it was high tide.. after waiting and waiting, the high tide still there and it's getting dark.. so these people (men, women, girls, boys and also children) full of faith, cross the sea with a big wave in front of them without any fear, with only one purpose : Need to pray to their God..
I was so amazed by their faith and belief.. and I almost forget to take the photo.. I just can say : Wow... Do I have faith like them ???
This photo is dedicated to all of you my friend in TE.
Keep the faith!
PEACE.

Dear Yoga,
It is a wonderful shot.
Partly because the quality is excellent, as well as the composition.
But to my mind, it is also because of what it shows: 100% faith. People ready to face difficulties in order to achieve their goal. Wonderful.
I will add it to my favourite ones.
Thanks!
Marianne

A wonderful image so full of life - the power of the waves but also thestrength of their determination and faith - and such a well caught moment of their action and inter-action - the looming wave in the background adds a fantastic sense of anticipation - a great photo!

impressive shot Yoga and impressive determination of these people ready to face threatening elements to perform what they consider as a duty. I like the various attitudes and especially that of the one holding his basket high enough so that it's not soaked
Excellent photojournalism shot

Hello Yoga
Even though I am Christian, I am in full respect of these people of Faith. Faith is real dedication to their belief. In my case, the beief in the unseen. The photo itself shows great determination to achieve their goal of getting to their temple. Very nice work Yoga.

Selamat pagi Bapak Yoga,
What a beautiful tone! Bokeh in the background is especially splendid as if it was taken by the large format like 8x10.
