Photographer's Note
I took this picture when travelling from Pekanbaru (the capital of Riau province) to Siak Sri Indrapura by boat. There are many people live in this river. They wash clothes, take a bath, brush teeth and other activities in river.
They are mostly poor. Contrastly, Riau province is famous with its tropical forest and wood industries, as well as rubber and palm plantation.

I like how you captured the whole place but IMO I this will be good if you zoom in a little to get clearly the things they are doing on the water. I like the color and the contrast of the house to the background...rgds

Hi Kristupa
Another odds happened to this image of yours. Why!! 604 hit!! 1 smiley!!!
Okayed. Back to your shot.
1. the image is a little small. You may want to post a large one in future.
2. the framing of this image is good. you have the river, the activities on the river, the wooden houses, the wooden pier and finally the forest.
You have everything blended nicely. Even the exposure level is quite good. Except that it is a scanned image. No bother about the over-contrast. Scanned image from film do have such effect, almost!!
2. the tips. maybe you ought to capture this from the side where you could cover some horizon to the far distance, rather than the normal-frontal-shot.
Stay cool, pal.
