Photographer’s Note

Padang is a sleepy, tropical, port on the west coast of Sumatra. It was not seriously affected by the tsunami. Taken from the hillside Chinese cemetery, part of which can be seen in the lower foreground.

A lovel view of a tempting looking place. Very interesting note, how did it escape, was just because it on higher land, or is there some interesting reason to do with shape of the coastline?

A colorful and richly detailed view across the harbor area, Chris. Impressive color setting, good repetitive element from the red roofs, and fine perspective out onto the open water. Very nice one.

Very nice composition of this place where the colors are very nice. I'd like to visit Indonesia... I saw a interesting tour from Bali to Java and Sulawesi... Maybe in June...

Great landscape view. The village in the foreground create a great spot of interest letting us discover then the canal which lead our eyes to the sea after. Very good composition.
