Photographer’s Note
This was the most idilic place I have ever been. So laid-back. It is a volcanic lake and all the land around it is very fertile. To get down to the village you must go down this amazingly narrow road and which has 44 bends all together...Strap your seat belts and good luck!
Unfortunatelly I didn't have my tripod on me this day,so the sharpness is not impressive but I quite like it,to me it gives a more poetic look. I had a polirizer though and I think it gave a nice effect tothe shot. I would appreciate to know what do you think.

Hi Luciana!
Indeed danau Maninjau must have been one of the most scenic lakes I've ever visited.
Great colours, maybe a more wide angle view would have made the image stronger.
Did you use the polarisor stacked onto the UV filter?
Thanx for sharing!

Luci this is a nice shot with good colors. The perspective with the little shack on the right and the person walking deep in the grass on the left is excellent. The very far background with the big mountains almost framed by the palm trees is very inviting and typical of tropical weathers. Very nice composition and TFS :-)

Hi Luciana.
As you told us, a very idilic place. The typical place I wish I were now... :P
I like the compo with the palm trees as an introduction.
Well seen!

Hi Luciana
I've been there, & yes, it was nice. I like the graphism of the coconut palms against the blue grey lake & caldera wall. Tfs!

Hi Luciana - I really like the shimmering effect the angle of light makes on the trees, and such vibrant colours, I would love to visit Sumatra one day.

I think i prefer this one ... evokes more dream for me, dream of coconut tree, of high grass and heat ... hm
Minimalist picture, not that much element and i think this is the power of this shot
Good !

Hi Luciana,
well captured and nicely composed shot of this wonderful and pleasantlandscape. Ok, the sharpness is not very good here, but what makes this shot really nice is the light, which is well managed with the filter and enhances greatly the green grass and the trees. All these elements are in a perfect contrast with the dark bg. provided by the silhouette of the mountain. Nice one!
Tfs and best regards.

Olá, Luciana.
Realmente adorável. Além do cenário idílico, a luz está perfeita, assim como a profundidade de campo. A casinha é o elemento perfeito para equilibrar a imagem.

Hi Luciana. Very tropical and very serene with the calm water in the BG. The way you have caught the sun on the palm leaves is very appealing. The only thing I’m in two minds about is the little hut on the lower right, it’s a little rough but I know it belongs there, I guess it gives the image a little edge. Nice work and thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.
