Photographer’s Note
The Bugis of South Sulawesi are one of the great races of seafarers of south east Asia. They were feared as pirates and still are famed as boat builders of their wooden pinisi. Makassar is the major city of the area. The sunsets over the Java sea are wonderful. The combination of sunset, light and subject provided me with a combination which could not be beaten for atmosphere. Hope you like it.
